To LOVE with an OPEN Heart…
To love with an open heart is to love unconditionally no matter what. To love someone or something does not mean you have to like it, agree with it, surround yourself with it, and especially not allow IT to consume YOU. To love with an open heart is to open your heart completly to all. Yes, that means even the painful parts, the fears we’d rather not face, and the difficult parts of life itself. Love is not always Rainbows and Sunshine. I wish I could tell you different but that would not be reality. We all need to learn to love with compassion. Compassion for ourselves, compassion for others, and the world as it is. Our only job is to accept, decide, work thru our struggles, and keep it moving! A guarded heart surrounded by armor is a lonely heart. Think bout it, if you are guarding one part of your heart to protect your feelings and emotions from getting hurt then how are we able to fully give and receive as we are intended to do? We can’t. If we choose to, then believe me we are closing ourselves off to receive the good along with the bad and worst of all we are not fully present. Fully present to enjoy the beautiful things and experiences that are available for us today. Then who knows what we missed today because we were to worried about yesterday. Yesterday is gone and done and can not be changed. But today in the present we have the choice to decide how we want to spend it. With a guarded heart comes pain, pain from the past, pain from things we can not change, and people we have no control over. So why sit in that? Figure it out, how to move thru it, move past it, and heal the wound with acceptance. Accept it as a part of our past and choose not to bring it to the present or take it to your future. As far as we know we only have today. So let down the walls and release the shackles that hold us back in time. Feel thru the pain, shed the tears, and put down the sword. Allow what is to come for us in the present to show up by showing up for ourselves. Have a beautiful sunshine and rainbows day Today!
